Day 3 – Sera and Drepung Monasteries

Today’s cycling was in the valley surrounding Lhasa, a chance to stretch the legs and get used to riding at the higher altitudes.  Our goals were Drepung and Sera Monastery.  Drepung is the main monastery for the Yellow Hat Sect, their “university” were monks study.  Sera is renowned for it religious debates, but it was closed as the monks were meeting elsewhere.
